In-form Jota is set to line up against Nuno's pack for the first time since swapping Molineux for Anfield in a deal which could rise to £45million.

The Portuguese has already scored nine times for the Reds ahead of facing Wolves on Sunday night (7.15pm).

And Nuno said: "We are proud and happy that Diogo is doing well. He is a fantastic player and fantastic boy.

"He was with us so much time and we shared so many things which will never be forgotten – what we shared together and worked together on to progress.

"Now, he is at Liverpool, he is doing well and is at the right place, and now he is an opponent for us."

Jota scored 44 times in 131 Wolves games and when asked if knowing him so well will help keep him quiet, Nuno added: "We know his characteristics, but we are going to face Liverpool, so we have to be aware of all the quality and talent they have.

"Diogo, plus all the other talented players Liverpool have."

Nuno, meanwhile, has confirmed Romain Saiss is back available for Wolves after a period out with Covid-19.

The Moroccan has been training all week ahead of the trip to Merseyside.
