Steve Bull: Can't wait to see Nelson Semedo in Wolves colours

It has been another busy week at Wolves, and the signing of Nelson Semedo from Barcelona is one that excites me.

Hats off to Adama Traore for trying to fill in at right-wing-back, but it is not his position.

Traore is far more effective going forward so he will be delighted to see Semedo come in, too.

His signing is a statement from Wolves, showing they want to be an elite club.

When you have an established star swapping the Nou Camp for Molineux, it speaks volumes.

We all know that Jorge Mendes is Semedo’s agent but at the end of the day, the last decision is down to the player. The agent can set everything up, but if the player does not want to go, then he won’t.

So, Semedo must know where Wolves want to be and wants to help them reach that next level. Fair play to him.

Ki-Jana Hoever has also bolstered the right-wing-back position, coming in from Liverpool.

He is not one to chuck in at the deep end straight away, but hopefully he can learn a lot and have a very bright future.

To be fair, I am liking the mix of youth and experience at the minute. They have a bit of both.

Diogo Jota, though, has left for the Reds and I’d just like to thank him for all he has done for Wolves. He has been absolutely superb.

Jota is such an exciting player and when you let someone like that go, it is a case of evolving.

Now the focus is on West Ham and hopefully responding to the loss to Manchester City.

It was a very poor first half, while the second half was a lot better.

Ultimately, we were sloppy at the back and not clinical enough in front of goal.

Fingers crossed, we will improve at both ends against the Hammers and get back to winning ways.
