Dennison has shared the painting by his wife, Denise on Twitter and it has been liked by more than 1,500 people.

War veteran Moore has raised more than £29million for the NHS by doing 100 laps of his garden ahead of his 100th birthday.

And Dennison, who made 294 league appearances for Wolves and scored 49 goals through the 80s and 90s, said: “That’s all my wife!

“It is her thing, her hobby. She does bits now and again, and she’d done that, which I thought was fantastic.

“She’s always had a bit of a talent for drawing and started going to art class 18 months ago, taking it a bit more seriously.

“Since then she’s done quite a few and this one, she’s been at for about a week or so, on and off. She’s got a bit of a talent for painting.”

Dennison certainly had an eye for goal, scoring in Wolves’ 2-0 1988 Sherpa Van Trophy triumph against Burnley at Wembley, but does he also have a knack for painting?

“No. You’re joking, aren’t you? I wouldn’t have the patience to do that anyway,” he added.

“It’s a great drawing and it impacts people with what it is, who it is, and the time we’re in at the minute.”
