Olympiacos will host the first leg of the tie in Athens, which will be played Thursday March 12, with the second leg at Molineux on Thursday March 19.

Wolves beat La Liga side Espanyol 6-3 on aggregate to secure their place in the last 16 of the competition.

This is the first time Wolves have reached the last 16 in European competition since the 1971/72 UEFA Cup, where they lost the final to Tottenham 3-2 on aggregate over two legs.

Pedro Martins' Olympiacos side are currently undefeated in the Greek Super League, sitting top of the table by five points.

They dropped into the Europa League after coming third in their Champions League group, behind Bayern Munich and Tottenham Hotpur – they only won one of their group games, drawing another and losing four.

Olympiacos overcame Arsenal in the Europa League round of 32. After losing 1-0 at home, they scored a 119th minute extra-time winner at the Emirates Stadium to win 2-1 on the night.

The aggregate score was level at 2-2 and the Greek side progressed due to a superior away goal tally.

Wolves' January signing Daniel Podence will face his former club after leaving Athens for Wolverhampton last month.
