It is understood the 19-year-old is on his way to signing on loan for the rest of the campaign, with the club having the option to make the deal permanent in the summer.

He has played 21 times in Ligue 1 for Dijon – who are 17th in the table – and is a France u20 international.

French outlet L'Équipe have reported Dijon wanted to extend Loiodice's deal by another year and that he had also been of interest to Dutch club Feyenoord, as well as Italian sides Benevento and Chievo Verona.

Should it go through as expected, it will be another addition for Wolves' u23s after Nuno Espirito Santo confirmed last week that striker Leonardo Campana – the club's first signing of this window – will initially join James Collins' group.

Loidice has also played for France's u19 side.
