Wolves won’t rush recruitment as Patrick Cutrone nears exit

As Patrick Cutrone prepares to leave Molineux, no arrivals appear imminent at Wolves.

The Express & Star understands that the club are working hard to get deals done but nothing is expected in the very short term.

As Cutrone’s six-month stint at Molineux nears a close, the club will not rush into a replacement, with Molineux chiefs relaxed as they look to make sure they get the right signing.

But with three weeks left of the window an attacker remains top of Wolves’ shopping list.

Red Bull Salzburg striker Hwang Hee-chan was a target but it is understood that interest cooled before the window opened due to the Austrian club’s desire to hold on to the player.

RB Leipzig’s Brazilian striker Matheus Cunha is the latest to be linked but the forward is not thought to be on Wolves’ radar.

Jesus Vallejo is still training at Wolves as he waits on a recall from parent club Real Madrid.

Real are reportedly keen to secure another loan for the defender before ending his season-long loan at Molineux, where he has failed to make an impact since his summer arrival.

Sources in Spain claim Granada CF are thought to be keen on Vallejo.

Meanwhile, Wolves’ potential fourth round FA Cup match against Tranmere or Watford will be broadcast live on BT Sport, on Sunday, January 26.

Wolves must first get past Manchester United at Old Trafford on Wednesday after their 0-0 draw at Molineux last weekend.

Tatter Travels are offering free transport to the tie, after it was revealed United will be charging Wolves fans up top £55 for a ticket to the replay.

They are putting on two free 57-seater coaches. Visit www.tattertravels.co.uk for more details.
