Wolves have three points after their first two Europa group games and sit 11th in the Premier League table.

Wins over Watford and Manchester City in the league, sandwiching the Group K victory at Besiktas, have lifted the mood, and Shi – speaking to Wolves TV as part of a two-part interview which will be released in the coming weeks – said: "So far, so good.

“We have faced the challenge of competing in two competitions at the same time, so it’s a new challenge for the first team to find a way to recover to play.

“So far, they’re doing really, really well, and they’re working really hard.

“I think at this stage, I’m very, very happy about the whole club. We are moving together towards the same direction, and also we are working very hard.”

Wolves return to league action against Southampton at Molineux tomorrow.

They then head to Slovakia to play Slovan Bratislava in the Europa next Thursday.

“At the beginning, even when we were in the Championship, we said our dream is to go to Europe in the future," added Shi.

“Now, our dream is realised and we have to embrace that.

“Many new things, but I think the coach and the first team are doing really well. We are doing well.”
