Nuno’s side welcome the Clarets to Molineux (4.30pm) on the back of a 1-1 draw with Manchester United on Monday and a 3-2 win at Torino on Thursday.

Traore, who signed for £18million from Middlesbrough last summer, stole the show in both of those games, but Nuno says there is plenty more to come from the ex-Barcelona man at right-wing-back.

“He is doing well,” said Nuno. “But Adama is a long process that we have to realise that he has to go step by step.

“There are things that need to improve, but that takes time, it takes time and the best is he is willing to do it and facing the challenge of a new position, new task and giving special characteristics for the team and he is doing amazing.

“We didn’t work a little, we worked a lot.

“But he has to know the game and must recognise this takes time, he is doing well, but he is not finished yet, he must go again knowing that there will be ups and downs.

“We trust our players. We give them moments to express themselves. Hopefully, he keeps progressing.”

Sean Dyche’s Burnley take on Wolves having beat Southampton 3-0 and lost 2-1 to Arsenal.

Nuno, who is looking for a first Premier League win of the term, added: “They are strong team, a team that has been playing for a while together.

“We know their strengths.

“We want to compete, the approach is always the same – recognising the strengths of our opponents, knowing there will be a weakness.”
