Wolves in China: Nathan Judah's Day 9 tour diary

The final full day of our Shanghai adventure.

Early wake-up call, it was time to do a little bit of exploring and finish off our reports and videos.

We'd set aside a couple of hours in the morning to get a bit of shopping in - but after the third knock on the door, Mr Spiers was firmly in the land of nod!

That gave me just enough time to get my Wolves ice-cream!

Ice cream time

I'd had my eye on it ever since the first day and this was my final opportunity.

I went for the Tsingtao Dark beer flavour made with soya milk - pretty normal order in the UK.

It was delicious! But at £5 for one scoop and a cone, I would hope for nothing less.

A final look around the club shop and it was time to meet Spiers to buy some souvenirs from our trip.

Bartering is not my strong point, but over here, you just can't help trying to get money knocked off - even if it's the equivalent of 50p!

I can't divulge my purchases as a few of the gift receivers read this diary, but what I can reveal is when looking for an engraved item, the shop assistant showed me on her phone a previous purchase as an example.

And low and behold, the example name was Judah - I s**t you not!

Still can't quite believe that

We were both absolutely gobsmacked...what are the chances?!

TS: Without revealing what you bought, I left you bartering in a shop and the last words I heard from you, when speaking to the shop assistant, were "no, I'm not buying that, too expensive". After popping to the shop next door, three minutes later the next time I see you you're being dragged to the cash machine by said shop assistant to get out the money you need to buy not one, not two, but THREE versions of the item in question! Alan Sugar you ain't, pal.

With a few bags in hand, I grabbed a quick bite to eat at a superb street dumplings stall which had a line going out the door.

And you know us Brits, it there's a queue, we just join it without fully knowing what is at the very end.

Thankfully it was a very pleasant surprise!

I'm delighted we finally got to visit Yu Garden and enjoy the wonderful buildings and water in this walled off green oasis in the middle Shanghai.

Breathtaking sight

Quite beautiful and very sacred. The pictures don't do it justice to how awe-inspiring it was.

Back to the apartment, we recorded our second podcast in the space of three days.

With all the transfer rumour gossip and the Asia Trophy triumph, we had to give the peeps what they wanted.

As afternoon turned into evening, we ticked another one of the bucket-list with a visit to the Shanghai Tower.

It dwarfs anything else on the Shanghai skyline as you would expect being the second tallest building in the world!

The lift up moves at an astonishing 45mph! And the views at the very top, well see for yourself!

It was then back to base-camp for a good few hours work to wrap up what has been an incredible trip.

Wolves, Wolves China and Fosun have done an incredible job out here.

We've been welcomed everywhere and I would love to come back to this beautiful country - maybe in two years to watch the boys defend it!

Where next? America? Mexico? Australia?

Wherever that may be, I'm sure it will be fabulous.

Fosun are in this for the long haul - and the sky is the limit.

TS: It's been an eye-opening week, one that has hinted at possibilities for both Wolves and Fosun in the future.

I don't think it could have gone any better on or off the field and it was great to hear Nuno say the players leave in better shape than they arrived - and Ryan Bennett added that the wins over Newcastle and Manchester City have given them increased confidence ahead of the much-anticipated Europa League campaign kicking off on Thursday.

The new megastore, the fashion show, the many Chinese Wolves fans we've seen desperate to meet their heroes, two great games in different ways and another trophy for Wolves at the end of it all. Fantastic.

It's been a madcap week in many ways but also a thrilling experience. Shanghai is a 24/7 city, its people are a bit bonkers, their ways and customs are unusual, but I'd come back in a heartbeat.

I hope you've enjoyed all the content this week and had a little giggle at times reading the diary.

Thank-you for all you lovely comments - we genuinely appreciate them.

Bring on Thursday and Europe!
