Wolves in China - Nathan Judah's Day 6 Tour Diary

Top of the morning to one and all! And isn't it a glorious one?!

Oh yes, seven hours of sleep and the world is a fabulous place.

After ferocious heat, sweaty trains and squatting toilets, my body just needed to collapse.

Getting some nice shut eye in our place now

Morning plan with Spiers revealed that we were going to split!?

Not for good (that will come later), just for the day's events.

Wolves run a tight ship here, there are so many separate appearances to be made throughout the day - the planning is meticulous.

Bully was promoting an electric car range in the morning in front of 300 people.

John Ruddy was taking part in Tai Chi at the top of Fosun Headquarters.

Spiers was off to cover Morgan Gibbs-White and some of the youngsters at a local school.

And I was meeting Diogo Jota, Willy Boly and Max Kilman at a Fifa 20 event with EASports.

I think I got the best deal - the chance to play the new game was superb.

Graphics are beyond good, although we weren't allowed to film any of the new gameplay as it is strictly embargoed.

The Wolves Esports team were also present to sweep aside their Manchester City equivalents, with the help of a Raul stunner!

Jota (Paris St Germain) and Boly (Liverpool) faced off against each other with an influencer on either side to assist.

There's quite a lot of 'influencers' out here promoting the Wolves brand. And not just Chinese - two Australians had been flown in for the event.

Who'd have thought people these days would get paid money to fly halfway across the world to stick a few tweets out about Wolves?! (There's a joke in there somewhere guys)

They seemed to be having a good time - especially Diogo who dispatched Team Boly with consummate ease.

Maximilian Kilman (I'm told he prefers his full name) enjoyed a three-a-side Fifa 20 street football game that was played separate to the main event.

It was another one of those slightly crazy, kind of bizarre, but ultimately entertaining afternoons that are becoming very frequent over in Shanghai.

TS: My event was also pretty surreal...the sight of Morgan Gibbs-White having to balance himself on a football using his elbow while a group of hysterical three-year-old Chinese kids tried to do the same was pretty surreal.

The Wolves Foundation are doing great work out in China, helping school children and youngsters become more active, and Morgan was fantastic at interacting with the kids, who could barely speak a word of Mandarin, let alone English.

Ed Francis and Christian Marques were there too and the kids loved a chance to meet some footballers (well, mostly they loved getting a goodie bag at the end).

After the problems with eyeballs yesterday, I was delighted to revert back to some good old salmon and rice for my late lunch!

I picked the right food this time

The evening brought the first Woooolves podcast of the new season - so much to talk about - so little time. That should be out later today for the loyal listeners to enjoy over the weekend.

TS: The evening also brought a trip out to a couple of local bars, where beers were deliciously cheap at just £2.

I befriended an extremely inebriated Chinese man and bonded over a love of David Bowie.

"David Bowie changed the world...one day I hope to also change the world," the guitar playing man, who called himself Jay Z, told me, before bursting into the single worst rendition of Space Oddity anyone has ever had the misfortune of hearing. God speed Jay Z, god speed.

It's training and press conferences on Friday ahead of the Asia Trophy final with Manchester City on Saturday.

First piece of silverware in the cabinet? Why the hell not?!
