Supporters queued for hours to be first in line at the club’s Megastore where the new gold home kit went on sale at 6pm.

Star players Diogo Jota, Ruben Neves and Conor Coady modelled the shirt and took questions from host Dicky Dodd during a special launch event.

Wolves Women players Anna Price, Lois Jefferies and Shannie Jennings also showed off the new shirt, which has been produced by Adidas.

All the players then got behind the tills to sell the kit to fans who had the chance to meet their heroes.

The home shirt sees a return to a deeper shade of gold after last year's light gold colour. It costs £55 and is the first to be sponsored by the club's new sponsor, betting firm ManBetX.

Wolves will wear the kit in China next week when Nuno Espirito Santo's team face Newcastle United in the Premier League Asia Trophy.

Neves said of the shirt: "I like it, it's back to the colour we had two years ago, it brings back a lot of memories, it's very good."

The new away kit will be released later this month. Images leaked a couple of weeks ago suggest it will be black.

Wolves are back training at Compton Park after spending last week at England's St George's Park base.

They will jet off to Shanghai this weekend before returning the following Sunday ahead of their Europa League bow on Thursday, July 25 against either Crusaders or B36 Torshavn at Molineux.
