Wolves defender Joseph Joseph handed professional terms

Young Wolves defender Joseph Joseph has signed his first professional deal with the club.

The contract has come about because of his fine work for the under-18s.

Joseph joined Wolves on a scholarship basis last year after spells at Crystal Palace, West Ham and Southend.

On his journey to Molineux, he said last year: "The standard was really high (at West Ham), so I was getting better all the time. They have a good academy.

"I was upset to be let go. It hurt.

"But I did not give up. If I had, I would not be at Wolves now.

“I knew that sometimes you have to go lower to go higher.

“Southend was good for me. There were opportunities to be seen by more scouts.”
