Claude Puel: Wolves won because we were naive

Leicester chief Claude Puel reckons his side's naivety was the reason Wolves won an end-to-end encounter at Molineux.

Wolves raced into a two-goal lead, but the Foxes pulled level shortly into the second period.

Diogo Jota then scored to put the hosts back in front, but Wes Morgan cancelled that out in the 87th minute.

Leicester, though, pushed forward too much, allowing Jota to complete his hat-trick in stoppage time to give Wolves a 4-3 victory – and Puel said: "It is a big shame and a big disappointment, conceding a fourth goal.

"We were naive, a lot. I hope we can learn.

"It is important in that moment to just wind the clock down because it was a difficult game.

"It was a crazy game. We started the game with a poor performance.

"We gave away two goals, so it was important to come back with a positive attitude in the second half.

"We had good desire, good quality, and I think it was a fantastic feeling to come back from a difficult situation in the first half.

"We had difficulty maintaining the intensity and physical work.

"We conceded a third goal which we can prevent also."

Under-pressure Puel added: "We have the confidence to come back another time, with the third goal.

"It was a fantastic feeling after all of the different emotions, but we didn't manage the end of the game with the right attitude."
