Wolves boss Nuno calls for home improvements

Nuno Espirito Santo has implored Wolves to capitalise on their 'really important' home advantage – ahead of a potential season-defining fortnight.

Wolves play the teams in eighth, ninth and 10th in the next two weeks, hosting Leicester tomorrow, West Ham on Tuesday week and then going to Everton on February 2.

They also face Shrewsbury in the FA Cup fourth round next Saturday.

Wolves have lost five of their past seven league games at Molineux, after previously only losing three in 12 months.

And Nuno said: "It is one of those things that we have to try to improve.

"In the season we know how important the home factor is in all competitions and we have a chance now to try, with the help of our fans, to achieve what we want - a good performance.

"I want to see more from my team every day, in training sessions and games.

"We must realise to become better we have to work more.

"The approach is always the same away and at home but the home factor is something that is really, really important.

"We had good games but we also had not so good games at home.

"It’s nothing to do with where we play. We should take advantage more of being at home and trying to put our idea during more consistent time in the game.

"It’s something that we need to try."

Wolves sit only three points behind seventh place, a position that has guaranteed European football for the past four years.

Nuno, though, isn't interested about any outside expectations..

"Honestly, with all my respects to what's been said outside (the club) – and when we have a good moment we're going to go this way, or a bad moment 'they are a championship team' – we cannot be focused on that.

"My ambition is to improve on a daily basis; this is the spirit and philosophy my players should have.

"What people say outside, I don't care.

"My philosophy is to grow on a daily basis, improve yourselves, don't care about the results – the future is what you do in the present, not on what you say."
