Bully: Wolves' Tammy Abraham saga has dragged on for too long now

The Tammy Abraham saga has been dragging on for a while now.

To be honest, I’m not fussed – if the player wants to join, great, but if not let’s move on.

The squad has done a fantastic job so far this season and although additions would bring freshness and maybe keep a couple of them on their toes, it’s not absolutely necessary that we sign anyone.

They’re in a good place with the squad they’ve got, they’re in the top half of the table, which I’d have taken all day long at the start of the season.

There is a bit of an issue in that Raul Jimenez could do with some help up front.

He’s chipped in with a good number of goals and he’s a fantastic workhorse.

If they’re going to bring someone in, he’s got to be on the same calibre.

Nuno said this week he’ll only bring in a special player and I think that’s the right approach. Don’t buy anyone for the sake of it – they should do a deal if it’s right for the club, but if not wait until the summer.

There has been a bit of transfer activity with Kortney Hause going to Villa on loan for the rest of the season.

Basically, there’s no room for him. The back three have been absolutely superb all season and he hasn’t had a look-in.

You’ve got to say it’s a brilliant position for the club as a whole to be in, as in able to let quality players leave because they can’t get in the team. We haven’t had this for a long, long time.

Hause did well in the games he’s played in and is definitely a centre-half with a lot of potential. He may end up back at Wolves after his loan and get in the team, you never know.

On to Monday then and another big game against a big team as we take on Manchester City at the Etihad.

It’s a daunting prospect – they’re the reigning champions and they proved recently against Liverpool how good they are. They made Liverpool look mediocre.

One thing you can guarantee, though, is that Nuno will set his team up to try and win.

It’ll be a cracking game of football with two teams going for it.

I hope they take us lightly and we can pull off another shock result. I’d bite your hand off for a draw.
