Bully: Let's see some Wolves fireworks against Bournemouth

After two wins on the spin Wolves go into today's game against Bournemouth full of confidence.

It certainly wasn't a classic at Newcastle, but the three points were all that mattered.

Sometimes you have to win ugly and to be honest I didn't think either side looked particularly good.

Those are the games you just have to grind out if you can. A point would have been fine but to nick all three at the end was a massive bonus.

It can more difficult playing against 10 men because the opposition work even harder, but Matt Doherty epitomised Wolves' spirit with a lung-busting 50-yard run to nod home the winner.

Doherty is my player of the season so far, he's very consistent week in, week out and is barely putting a foot wrong.

Diogo Jota was also on the scoresheet at St James' Park and he looks like his old self again which is great news.

Occasionally you need a spell out the side to recharge the batteries and go again, it's like a spring coil.

I wonder if Nuno will do the same with Ruben Neves, who isn't the Neves we know at the moment.

He's maybe a bit lethargic and I don't think it would hurt to give him a rest.

There are playing like Morgan Gibbs-White on the leash on the bench and personally I'd bring him into the XI for today's game against Bournemouth.

I'd have stuck with the team that beat Chelsea for the Newcastle match – perhaps he'll go back to that today, but Gibbs-Wite deserves a start for the impact he's currently making.

He's only a kid but footballers have old heads on young shoulders these days. He's a local lad, nothing scares him, he plays with freedom and he'll keep his feet on the ground.

Today should be a cracking game, Bournemouth play some decent football which might suit us as there'll be two footballing sides on show.

Callum Wilson is their obvious danger-man. He's a striker I like – he's a goalscorer and a powerhouse who's got all the attributes you need.

We can push up the table if we win and Everton lose at Manchester City, we don't want this to be a missed opportunities.

Let's hope after the pre-match fireworks there are some fireworks on the pitch too.
