Bully: Wolves' Raul Jimenez reminds me of my old strike partner

January is around the corner and Wolves will be eyeing up a few targets, I’m sure.

I think every supporter would love new faces at the club – if they want to get to the top five in the long run then they know they have to regularly spend big.

For me there's a very good team at Nuno Espirito Santo's disposal but I would like to see him bring another striker in to help out Raul Jimenez.

I like Jimenez a lot – he reminds me of Andy Mutch is that he's unselfish, he holds the ball up well and he's a proper team player.

That fits into the Nuno ethos – he wants team players, not individuals.

But if Jimenez is playing the Andy Mutch role you need players around him to bang the goals in and that's isn't happening at the moment.

It's either up to the other forwards like Helder Costa, Ivan Cavaleiro, Diogo Jota and Adama Traore to start regularly getting on the scoresheet, or they need another striker.

Leo Bonatini was a massive part of the club last season and definitely earned his permanent move to the club, but it's just not happening in front of goal for him right now. He'll be hungry to put that right.

So we're 12 games in and Wolves are 11th in the table – I'd have taken that at the start of the season and I'm sure all the fans would have too.

We've been a bit unlucky in recent weeks so we could have been even higher, but we'll take it.

The good thing for me is that the team can definitely improve – and I don't think they need to improve very much to climb the table.

They're great on the ball, superb defensively, they've got a world class goalkeeper, excellent full-backs and creative forwards.

All it's missing is a few more goals.

Ivan Cavaleiro has chipped in with a couple recently and he certainly knows where the goal is – I'd back him to net a few more in the coming weeks.

We showed great strength of character to bounce back from three defeats to earn a point at Arsenal.

That shows they've got the right mindset too. There are a lot of things to be positive about!
