Benik Afobe to Stoke: Wolves fans split on shock transfer

Wolves fans have had mixed reactions following Benik Afobe's shock move to Stoke City - less than two weeks after signing a permanent deal at Molineux.

The striker has officially joined Stoke on loan until January as a player cannot sign permanently for two clubs during the same transfer window.

However Stoke have an 'obligation' to buy Afobe for £12m in January.

The fee represents a swift £2m profit on the forward who made the switch from Bournemouth to Wolves on June 1 following a successful five-month loan spell.

The decision has split opinion amongst fans with some seeing it as an excellent piece of business whilst others have questioned the ethics behind the deal.

Wolves announced the loan signing of Mexico international Raul Jinenez on the same day with a £30m option to buy the 27-year-old next summer.

But with the squad still very light on strikers going into the Premier League, is it a smart or risky strategy saying goodbye to Afobe so soon?
