The 22-year-old has barely featured this season but Wolves were keen to tie the England Under-21 international down to a long term deal.

He has penned a three-year contract with the option of an extra season.

"It feels good," Hause, who has made 78 appearances for Wolves since signing from Wycombe as a teenager, said. "I’ve been at the club for a few years now, four in total.

"I’ve signed a new three-year-deal at the club so I’m happy that I’ve been able to commit my future to Wolves.

"I haven’t really played this season, which has been frustrating for me, but I understand that’s football.

"I haven’t played many games but I’ve still learnt a lot, it’s been a good learning curve for me.

"The players that have been playing have been doing well so I just have to be patient and hopefully my chance will come.

"There are still six massive games of the season left and you never know when you’re going to get called up.

"I have to keep my head and be ready for it if I have to step in at any time. I think the answer is to just work hard every day in training.

"To be honest, it’s made me more hungry. There are still six games left of this season but it’s made me more hungry for next season."

Sporting director Kevin Thelwell said the club were delighted to get the deal done.

"We all think a lot of Kortney and we think he's got some high potential - although he's not played a lot this season, some of his performances in the cup were excellent," Thelwell said.

"We're just hoping that this gives us an opportunity to keep building on his skill-set with a view to him helping us either get to the Premier League or be in the Premier League in the future."
