Goalscoring hero Oskar Buur Rasmussen said it was a 'special moment' to score Wolves' equaliser as they drew 2-2 with Hull City.

The Danish right back netted a dramatic equaliser just 13 minutes after coming on as a 70th minute substitute at Molineux last night.

Rasmussen has previously featured against Bristol Rovers in the Carabao Cup but this was the first time he'd been named in a league squad, owing to Matt Doherty's suspension.

The 20-year-old met Barry Douglas' cross and powered home a header to salvage Wolves a point.

And afterwards he said: "It was a really big moment for me to get my debut and score a goal and help the team, I'm really glad.

"I was a little bit surprised (to feature) because I haven't trained with the team up to this game, so I was surprised but it was good to be here.

"I was happy (to come on), I wanted to help the team to get three points.

"I was a bit nervous because it's a big stage and all the fans were out there – I think (with) the under-23s there's like a couple of hundred people if we're lucky.

"I just saw Barry got to the line and I knew he'd put it in so I went in the box and headed the ball. I looked to see if it went in, when it did all the players went over me and I was just glad.

"It will last with me for a really long time, it was a special moment."

After his crucial intervention, which edged Wolves closer to promotion, Rasmussen will now return to training with the under-23s.

He added: "(I will) train hard about and keep doing what I'm doing right now, play good for the under-23s and we'll see."
