The 20-year-old is currently on loan with League Two side Newport County where he's struggled to break into the team.

However after a man-of-the-match performance against Luton on Saturday on his first start the youngster is feeling positive about his future.

Collins is out of contract at Wolves this summer – where he's yet to make a first team appearance – but there is an option to extend it by a season.

"Finally I’ve got my chance and hopefully I’ve proved that I’m good enough to stay in the team," Collins, who's back at the hometown club that sold him to Wolves in January 2016, told South Wales Argus.

"I’m out of contract this summer but there is an option (of another year).

"When I left I signed a two-and-a-half-year contract with an option in their favour.

"So in the next month or two they’ll let me know if they’re keeping me on or not.

"This is a great chance to prove that I should be playing and hopefully I go into the next nine games, do what I can do and we’ll see if Wolves reward me with an extra year."
