Steve Bull: Three points for the sell-out Wolves crowd?

There’s another sell-out at Molineux today and we’re all hoping for another three points to go with it.

The atmosphere was special during the win over Sheffield United last week and that was great to hear.

The fans had maybe started to get a bit worried or frustrated recently with the team taking a minor dip – but the noise was at full volume again last weekend.

I’m sure it played a part in the performance particularly in the first half when the tempo was high.

All supporters want is to see hard work and graft from the players and if Wolves carry on doing that they’ll be solid at the back and of course have a big threat going forward.

The one problem with the team doing so well is I’m inundated with ticket requests! I have to tell people to get their own or buy a half season ticket and you can’t argue with either.

I can see the half season ticket being pretty popular everyone – everyone wants to see this team in the flesh.

Wolves face QPR at Molineux today and, like Sheffield United last week, we’ll be looking to get revenge of one of the only four teams to have beaten Wolves this season.

Like last week let’s hope it’s a straightforward victory.

The competition for places right now is fierce but despite having Leo Bonatini and Benik Afobe to come into the side I still fancy Nuno will stick with the same XI.

The team looks pretty balanced at the moment so Afobe, Bonatini and Romain Saiss if he’s fit may have to wait.

Afobe said this week he’s cleared the air with Jez Moxey and Kevin Thelwell.

That means If he can get into the team we won’t worry about any distractions, if and when that time comes.

I think a bit of a rest will do Bonatini the world of good and hopefully bring his confidence back.

The changes – or lack of – in the past couple of games seems to suggest Bonatini may have to wait for his chance, as will Afobe.

That competition can be healthy, certainly on the training ground, and Wolves should embrace it.

What has been great to see this past two weeks is two clean sheets and the team looking back to themselves.

Let’s hope we can keep it up for the rest of the season!
