Nuno has been a revelation since his arrival at Molineux during the summer and, with Wolves sitting top of the Championship, such interest does not come as a surprise.

Here, Joe Edwards picks out five reasons why Nuno should stay put.

1) He is adored by Wolves fans

Of course, wins on a regular basis in the league – and giving Manchester City a real run for their money in the Carabao Cup – will help get supporters on your side.

But it is not just results that have endeared Nuno to the Molineux faithful.

Nuno's way with words – being a straight-shooter – has gone down a treat and he does not take the fans' backing for granted.

2) The potential of the club

Big crowds and a big budget – Wolves' potential is there for all to see.

Molineux is a cauldron of noise and with the backing of Fosun, they truly are a financial powerhouse.

And while money does not guarantee success, it certainly helps.

Nuno is only a matter of months into his project at Wolves – and promotion from the Championship is the first step.

3) Quality of the squad

In the likes of Diogo Jota and Ruben Neves, Wolves have sheer, undisputed, quality in their ranks.

They are not a one or two-man team though, far from it – there is strength in depth.

Willy Boly, Ryan Bennett and Conor Coady were the back three at Norwich City last night.

That meant Danny Batth, Kortney Hause and Roderick Miranda – who would walk into most Championship teams – were left out.

Nuno has plenty of tools at his disposal.

4) He appears settled

Nuno joined Wolves after short stints – a year each – in charge of Valencia and Porto.

One would suspect the last thing he would want to do is up sticks again, just into a three-year contract at Molineux.

Any manager wants continuity and the former goalkeeper is very much building something here.

5) Getting Everton ticking may prove far from straightforward

The Toffees are an established top flight outfit, but their squad appears massively inbalanced – an abundance of attacking midfielders, ageing defence and no out-and-out goalscorer.

Turning things around at Goodison Park may need time, which we all know is of very short supply these days.
