The Portuguese sensation is the most backed player in the month of October having received 19.75% of all market bets

Jota's seventh league goal of the season in the 2-0 win over Aston Villa saw him top the goalscorer charts alongside Bristol City's Bobby Reid, Sheffield Wednesday's Gary Hooper and Hull City's Jarrod Bowen.

The 20-year-old has come in from 40/1 to 9/1 with some bookmakers as Wolves' stunning start to the season shows no signs of slowing down.

Striker Leo Bonatini is also a man in demand and is currently priced at 12/1 after coming off the bench and scoring his fifth goal against Steve Bruce's men.

Middlesbrough's Britt Assombalonga still heads the market at 15/2, but that could change drastically should Jota find the net again against Preston this weekend.

Wolves hope to buy the winger from Atletico Madrid in January.

Meanwhile Nuno Espirito Santo's men are 5/4 favourites to win the league after going two points clear at the top of the table.

Wolves have received the most bets to win the Championship or get promoted since the start of the season.

Wolves (3,863), Leeds (3,442), Middlesbrough (2,593), Aston Villa (2,341), Cardiff (1,626), Fulham (1,422).

The Molineux men are as short as 2/5 to start 2018/19 in the Premier League.
