Leo Bonatini wants to stay with Wolves

Brazilian front-man Bonatini is on loan from Saudi Arabian club Al Hilal for the rest of the season.

The 23-year-old has made an impressive start to life in the Championship with four goals so far.

Wolves have an option to buy Bonatini when his loan expires – and the former Estoril striker seems open to that idea.

"I do not want to move back to Hilal," Bonatini said in an interview with Sky Sports.

"I want to stay here. For sure, I want to stay and play for Wolves next season in the Premier League and then to stay in the Premier League.

"That is what we are all doing here. That is our target."

Bonatini is the only player in the Championship to have registered at least four goals and four assists.

He says the influence of head coach Nuno Espirito Santo is playing a key role.

"Nuno is a very good coach," Bonatini said. "He knows us and he knows what to say to us. He gives us lots of information about the other team every week.

"He knows everything. He is a guy who studies and wants to know everything about the opponent. For every match, we change which defender we have to press, how we press and what we have to do.

"The people behind us are very good too. The guys who check the GPS, the guys who scout the opposition ahead of the next game.

"Nobody sees the job they do but they make everything really easy for us.

"Instead of having to watch a full game of the opponent, we can watch a five-minute video and we know exactly what they are going to do in the match."

And of his first experiences in English football, the striker added: "Here, they kick more, they press more and they don't let us play. It is different.

"Not every contact is a foul. They let the game flow, which is nice, and it is as if the fans are playing with us. We feel it.

"We have a young team and it is good because we want to help each other."
