Wolves midfielders Lee Evans and Dave Edwards named in Wales senior squad

Wolves midfielder Lee Evans has been named in the Welsh squad for their training camp ahead of their World Cup qualifier against Serbia.

The 22-year-old joins fellow Wolves midfielder Dave Edwards in the squad, which will head to Portugal for the camp ahead of their June 11th clash with the Group D leaders .

It's the first time Evans has been involved with the senior squad, although he's not guaranteed to make his first senior cap against the Eastern European nation.

Edwards and Evans are also joined by Aston Villa captain James Chester, West Brom striker Hal Robson-Kanu and former Walsall striker Tom Bradshaw in the 26-man squad.

Meanwhile, Wolverhampton born Everton defender Ashley Williams is also included. The Welsh captain began his senior career at Hednesford Town, making 46 appearances for the Pitmen before moving on to Stockport County in 2003.

Former Wolves goalkeeper Wayne Hennessey is also included.

Wales currently sit third in their group, four points behind Serbia and the Republic of Ireland.
