Around 100 supporters were seated in the Billy Wright Stand to watch the players put through their paces by Paul Lambert's coaching staff less than 24 hours after the side's 1-0 win at Leeds.

After the session the players came over to the fans and spent more than 20 minutes signing autographs and taking selfies in the morning sunshine.

Captain Danny Batth, stalwart Dave Edwards and yesterday's match-winner Nouha Dicko were among the players who greeted the young fans making the most of the school holiday.

Comeback pair Michal Zyro and Jordan Graham were also present at Molineux for the open training session.

Harry Dunn, aged 10 from Brierley Hill, was at the session with his friends and mother, Kerry.

After meeting defender Richard Stearman, he said: "He said hello and asked me how I was. I got him to sign my top and in my book.

"It is really cool to meet all of the players."

Kerry, 34, added: "Days like this are great for the kids. It is great that the club do things like this and that the kids get to meet the players, watch them train and have them sign things."

Also in the Billy Wright Stand was 43-year-old Lee Walker from Bearwood, who had brought his 10-year-old son Joe to watch the session.

He said: "We have been to some of these sessions before and we find them really relaxing.

"It is nice to engage with the players and we find you get to see a different side to the team than the one you might see on a match day."

Among the crowd were older supporters who also took the chance to watch the players train.

Friends Steve Lockley, 65, and Tony Bibb, 76, travelled from Cannock to visit Molineux and were pleased to have the chance to watch a session.

Tony, said: "Since they came in last summer the new owners seem to think about the fans with days like today which is good."
