Wolves FA Cup run: Harry Burgoyne looks set to start against Liverpool
Harry Burgoyne looks set to play on one of the grandest stages in world football when Wolves head to Liverpool in the fourth round of the FA Cup.
The 20-year-old is in line to keep goal at Anfield with Carl Ikeme suspended and Andy Lonergan not fully fit after a knee injury. It's a far cry to a year ago when he was on the bench at AFC Telford United – and the latest step on a long journey that took in Bitterley Primary School and Ludlow School.
Will Davies, headteacher at Bitterley, said: "We are very proud he has been through our school."
Burgoyne produced a man-of-the-match display on his Wolves debut – a 4-4 draw with Fulham on December 10 – and also played in the 2-1 loss to Cardiff three days later.
