Injured Tommy Rowe in time out for Wolves

New signing Tommy Rowe today became the first casualty of Wolves' pre-season with the winger facing up to a month on the sidelines.

Rowe broke his toe in Friday's 3-1 opening friendly win at Cheltenham and will be out for three to four weeks.

Head coach Kenny Jackett said: "Tommy broke the fifth metatarsal after a kick in the Cheltenham game and will be out for three to four weeks.

"It's a blow but it's not as bad as it could have been – it's going to be weeks rather than months. Declan Weeks is coming out here in his place – it's a one-for-one swap.

"He's 18 and won our academy player of the year last season. He finished last season very well.

"The coaching staff say he's started pre-season training in the same vein this time so it's a chance for him to impress."

Wrexham-born Weeks isn't the biggest in stature, but is said to have wowed the Molineux coaches before and since returning to training.
