Wolves sign second Barcelona starlet

Wolves have raided the Spanish market again after snapping up Barcelona midfielder Jordi Ortega.

The 19-year-old, who is set to go into the Under-21s development squad, started nine of the 10 matches as Barca lifted the UEFA Youth League in April, beating Benfica in the final.

The capture of Ortega follows the signing of attacking midfielder Albert Torras last August from Barca and Ortega will similarly slot into their youth ranks.

Wolves will hope they won't encounter the same problems gaining a work permit with Ortega as they did with Torras.

FIFA red tape prevented Torras, who was then only 17, from playing for several months after his arrival in the UK.
