Jody Craddock's testimonial - As it Happened

Sport | Published:

The party atmosphere continued at Molineux on Bank Holiday as a Wolves XI beat a Sunderland XI 4-1 in Jody Craddock's testimonial at 2pm.

Sunderland took the lead before half-time when former striker Niall Quinn netted for the Black Cats.

Mick McCarthy returned to the dugout alongside Terry Connor whilst former Sunderland boss Peter Reid took charge of the Sunderland XI.

Kevin Phillips was denied one final chance to score at Molineux after he announced his retirement from football.

In the second-half, Craddock swapped the gold and black for red and white. He fouled Hollyoaks actor and Wolves fan Ayden Callaghan.

Craddock's son Toby came on the score from the spot. Luke and Joseph Craddock also netted for Wolves as they ran out 4-1 winners.

Part of the proceeds are going to Birmingham Children's Hospital, where Jody's four-year-old son Toby is being treated for leukaemia.

Our Wolves man Tim Nash will be at Molineux for the game and will be bringing you live updates from events such as the half-time penalty shoot-out against Jez Moxey.
