On-loan Wolves left-back Jack Robinson scored as England Under-21s made it a record eight successive wins against Romania.

Wilfried Zaha broke the deadlock at Wycombe's Adams Park last night with a stunning strike that set Stuart Pearce's side on course for the milestone.

Robinson, 19, on loan from Liverpool, and Aston Villa striker Nathan Delfouneso netted the others on the hour and with two minutes left.

It was an easy victory for England, who have not lost since November 2011 and haven't conceded in eight. But the highlight was Zaha's opener.

The Manchester United signing, loaned back to Crystal Palace, collected a pass from Liverpool's Raheem Sterling and continued to skip past the defence before curling a sumptuous strike into the top right-hand corner.

Playing as a lone frontman, the 20-year-old Palace academy graduate marked his seventh England Under-21s appearance with a superb first-half strike, jinking past a number of defenders before curling home.

Robinson, a half-time replacement for Danny Rose, slammed home on 62, converting a floating ball from the right from Anfield team-mate Jonjo Shelvey, whose free-kick from the left was stroked home by Delfouneso.

West Brom's Craig Dawson played the full game, while Delfouneso replaced the injured Henri Lansbury after six minutes. Stoke goalkeeper Jack Butland, on loan at Birmingham, played all but the last three.
