Wolves have warned fans who invade the pitch at Molineux on Sunday will wreck the traditional lap of honour by the players.

Supporters have entered the playing area after home games during the last two seasons.

But as the countdown continued to the Survival Sunday showdown against Blackburn, chief executive Jez Moxey insisted it will not be tolerated again.

Moxey said: "We all hope we'll have something to celebrate after Sunday's game by securing our Premier League status for another season.

"But, whatever happens, the message to fans is to please stay off the pitch at all times.

"We've had pitch invasions after games towards the end of our last two seasons and, while we understand fans like to celebrate the team's successes, they shouldn't happen.

"I'm sure fans will all be glad of the chance to show their appreciation to the players and, in return, the players always enjoy the chance to pass on their thanks to supporters as they go around the pitch with their families.

"We would urge supporters to stay off the pitch, so everyone can enjoy the moment together."

With Sunday's fixture a sell-out, fans are urged to arrive early.
