The Brazilian, due to become a permanent Albion player ahead of the start of the Premier League season, was integral in the Baggies' promotion success.

Totalling 16 assists for Albion over the course of the season, Pereira also scored eight goals - and was quickly labelled as one of the best players in the division during his first stint in English football.

Having initially joined on-loan from Sporting, Albion are obligated to buy the Brazilian after he made a set number of appearances in Slaven Bilic's side.

The deal means Pereira will cost Albion £9m overall - which includes the £750,000 loan fee already paid by the club.

He is amongst six Championship players vying for the award, which is voted for by fans.

Leeds' Luke Ayling, Fulham's Aleksandar Mitrovic, QPR's Eberechi Eze and Brentford duo Ollie Watkins and Said Benrahma are also nominated for the honour.
