The promotion-chasing Baggies still have nine Championship matches left to play but the government this week confirmed any resumption of the campaign must take place without fans present.

Supporters who bought tickets for any of the remaining fixtures, either home or away, will now be reimbursed, starting from the week beginning May 18.

The club are also working on a plan to partially refund season ticket holders, which will be announced in due course.

Fans are being advised any individual match tickets purchased by card either online or by phone will be refunded onto the same card.

Tickets purchased in person at the ticket office either by cash or via chip and pin will, meanwhile, be refunded by cheque.

An Albion statement read: “All dates provided in this information will be to our best endeavours but cannot be guaranteed especially during such testing circumstances.

“We would like to take this opportunity to extend the club’s deep appreciation of our supporters’ patience and understanding over the issue of refunds during this difficult period for all businesses.”
