Two months ago, the 58-year-old was tasked of reviving the fortunes of the Eredivisie outfit who currently sit in the relegation zone.

Pardew won his first game in charge. But they have failed to win in their last five outings.

And that prompted angry Den Haag fans to gatecrash a training session on Wednesday – with the group armed with a clipboard to show the former Baggies head coach where he is going wrong.

A Den Haag spokesperson said: “It was about a group of approximately 10 worried fans. They expressed, in a calm and non-hostile way, their concerns to the staff and players at the start of the training.”

Pardew, and assistant Chris Powell, have 10 games left to turn Den Haag’s fortunes around.
