The 25-year-old has been a revelation since joining the Baggies on loan from Sheffield United last month – with Slaven Bilic’s side having taken 10 points from a possible 12 since he walked through the door.

Robinson has been playing wide left in a front three that includes Matheus Pereira and Hal Robson-Kanu – with those players also supported by midfielder Filip Krovinovic.

The quartet have clicked instantly despite Robinson having only arrived a few weeks ago. But the former Villa man believes it’s easy to settle into a team when you are playing alongside such good players.

Asked why he’s gelled so quickly with Robson-Kanu, Pereira and Krovinovic, he said: “I think when you are playing with good footballers, it’s easy.

“Those players are all comfortable on the ball, they can take it in and I’m just really enjoying playing with them.

“I think we have got a bit of everything. Hal is our base up there.

“Matheus speaks for himself, he is an unbelievably talented footballer. And Filip is such a technically-gifted footballer as well and finds those passes. I have just been enjoying it.”

Robinson netted his first Baggies goal in the 2-2 draw with Forest on Saturday.

But he also saw what would have been a stoppage-time winner ruled out when Kyle Bartley was adjudged offside despite the ball hitting him behind the goalline.

So while he was delighted to get off the mark, he was also disappointed not to have grabbed a brace.

“I think I have been putting in good performances for the team – the only thing missing was that goal so I was happy to get it and help the boys get a good point,” Robinson continued.

“I think I should have had another. It should have been a goal.

“I had a lot of texts come through from family and friends. Everyone is saying Barts is already in the goal when it goes in.

“I don’t know how he can be offside, he is not interfering because he’s in the net. I don’t get that one but we aren’t bitter about it.”

Robinson celebrated his goal with a dance routine with Pereira. And he admitted that’s something they’ve been working on.

He added: “Every day, the trio, me, Matheus and Filip are having fun – it’s really good.”
