Kyle Edwards: Confidence still high at West Brom

Kyle Edwards insists Albion have not taken a confidence hit during their winless run and are craving a return of the winning feeling.

Slaven Bilic’s men return to Championship action on Saturday where they make a second visit in six days to The Valley to face Charlton – where they will be backed by 3,100 travelling supporters.

Albion have gone four without a win in the league, tasting victory just once in six, but attacker Edwards says the Baggies remain bullish.

“We know how difficult it is to win games in this division, but we’re a confident group and we’ve shown plenty of times already this season that we are capable of playing some great football and getting victories,” he said.

“Charlton have been unfortunate lately with injuries and results but we know that it’s going to be a big challenge for us on Saturday down there.”

The 21-year-old added: “We drew a few and we’re now all determined to start winning games again. There’s no better feeling in football than picking up three points and we’ve missed that in recent weeks.

“We want it back. It was good to get the win at Charlton in the FA Cup last weekend and we want the same outcome tomorrow.”

Meanwhile, Albion’s FA Cup fourth-round tie at West Ham will kick off at 3pm on Saturday, January 25, the clubs confirmed. The game has not been selected for live TV coverage and Albion are hopeful of taking a big travelling support to the London Stadium for the clash.

The Hammers are also reportedly willing to leave a decision on Grady Diangana’s loan spell at Albion until the last minute. New boss David Moyes wants to see what signings the club make first before making a final call.
