FA begin investigation after allegations of racist abuse towards Jonathan Leko

The FA have begun an investigation into the allegations that West Brom loanee, Jonathan Leko, was subject to racial abuse from an opposition player during Charlton Athletic's game against Leeds United on Saturday.

Charlton have released a statement confirming that that the incident was reported to referee John Brooks during the match while saying that they will offer no further comment until the investigation has been concluded.

The FA will now speak to the clubs and individuals concerned before deciding whether there is a case to answer.

West Brom face Leeds tonight as they travel to Elland Road in the Championship.
