The Albion academy product has been training with Zulte this summer, and they are willing to offer him a two-year deal with an option of a third year.

Berahino is a free agent after being released from his five-and-a-half year contract with the Potters three years early.

Stoke reportedly paid him £2.5million in order to get him off their books.

It came after Berahino was convicted of drinking and driving earlier this year and banned from driving for 30 months.

The 26-year-old scored just five goals for Stoke following a £12m switch from the Baggies in January 2017. Berahino came through Albion’s academy and scored 20 goals for Albion in the 2014/15 season.

Zulte finished 11th in the Belgian First Division A last season.
