FA take no further action over Jack Grealish penalty

Jack Grealish has been cleared to play against Albion on Tuesday night after an independent panel judged he did not dive for Villa's penalty on Saturday.

The Baggies believed video replays suggested there was little or no contact on Grealish when he went over in the box under Kieran Gibbs's sliding challenge.

The FA referred the incident to an independent panel after reading the referee's report, but it was deemed not to be an act of simulation.

Successfully deceiving an official carries a two-game ban.

Albion striker Dwight Gayle was charged for diving earlier this season during a game with Nottingham Forest.

His automatic one-game ban for Saturday's red card was extended to two games because of that earlier suspension.
