Dwight Gayle is a diver – and a good one too!

Nobody likes to see strikers diving – unless it’s into a swimming pool off a 10-metre platform.

Top scorer Dwight Gayle has been wowing team-mates with his best Tom Daley impression at Albion’s warm weather training camp in Dubai.

Although instead of triple twists and pikes, Gayle has been pulling off backflips.

His antics have been caught on camera by youngsters Kyle Edwards, who gave his backflip an 8.5 out of 10, and Jonathan Leko, who labelled the striker ‘Superman’.

The pair uploaded the videos to their Instagram accounts.

Gayle’s dives even persuaded Edwards, 20, to do his own backflip off the top board, although he needed some words of encouragement from his team-mates.

Albion are currently in a training complex in Nad Al Sheba, Dubai, for warm weather training.

They flew out on Saturday immediately after the Norwich game and return to England on Thursday.

As well as time in the pool, the team have been training in the gym, on the pitch and with bike rides.
