Albion celebrate their fourth goal. (AMA)

Sam Johnstone

Made a couple of important saves and commanded his area well. Looked far more assured claiming crosses than he has done this season, although he was somewhat rooted to the spot when Hernandez’s header looped over him in injury time. 7/10

Tosin Adarabioyo

The youngster is being played out of position at right-back, but as each game goes by, he is visibly improving. Won more headers than anyone else in the team, and also set up the goal for Barnes. A reliable defender, who deserves a run in the team. 8/10

Craig Dawson

Looked far more comfortable in a back four, and far more comfortable without his playmaker duties. Clipped the ball into the channel for the front three to win, instead of misplacing passes, and was also a threat in the opposition box. A return to form. 8/10

Ahmed Hegazi

Another one who looked far more comfortable with the new no-nonsense approach. Made countless important interceptions and clearances, and this time, he didn’t over-complicate things. One of his best performances of the season. 9/10

Kieran Gibbs

Faced up against Leeds’ biggest threat in Pablo Hernandez but he kept him quite all game. The winger didn’t score until after Gibbs had been substituted off. But it was the left-back’s desire to defend that was most encouraging. A professional performance. 8/10

Matt Phillips

When he’s in this mood, he’s unplayable. Driving at defenders with purpose, he makes them nervous. His goal was a moment of individual brilliance, even if it should have been saved, and his versatility to play in a midfield three is testament to his ability. Superb. 9/10

James Morrison

He is rarely flustered in possession and constantly looks forward. But there was a pace and energy to his performance that hasn’t been seen at The Hawthorns recently. Willing to press high when necessary, and sit in if needed. Must surely keep his place. 8/10

Jake Livermore

Made a complete nuisance of himself in central midfield, where he never stopped running, never stopped tracking, and never stopped tackling. It was the sort of gritty performance that wins are built on, full of intent, desire and hunger. 8/10

Hal Robson-Kanu

Grabbed his chance with both hands, his chest, and his left foot. What an impact. His physical presence and ability with back to goal gave Albion a much-needed option up front, and he took his goal with clinical aplomb. One of his best performances for the club. 9/10

Jay Rodriguez

Crashed one off the crossbar in the first half, and set up the goals for both Robson-Kanu and Gayle with brilliant individual work. Deserved one himself for his endless running and closing down of opponents that forced Leeds into mistakes. A team player. 8/10

Harvey Barnes

Nearly scored in the first half with a one-two and then got his goal in the second half, although the chance nearly passed him by. Always willing to run with the ball, which puts defenders on the back foot, but for once, he was outshone by others. 8/10

Substitutes

Dwight Gayle (Robson-Kanu 80)

His cheeky backheel goal will live long in the memory. 7/10

Tyrone Mears (Gibbs 88)

A safe pair of hands. N/A

Rekeem Harper (Phillips 90+2)

Great to see the youngster on the pitch, even if it was briefly. N/A

Unused: Myhill, Barry, Hoolahan, Sako
