Darren Moore insists the only way to get under-perfoming Albion back up and running is with hard work on the training ground – starting today.

The Baggies have slipped out of the top six after picking up just one point from a possible 12 in their last four games.

Moore described the latest defeat to second-from-bottom Hull City on Saturday as 'unacceptable' and 'below par'.

But he's determined to get his out-of-form side back to winning ways by drilling them in training this week.

When asked if he was concerned about his side's four-game winless streak, he said: "It’s not so much concern, it’s more disappointment really. We know what happens if you take your eye off the ball.

"I’m disappointed to lose the game in that manner. The only way to get back on track is with work on the training ground.

"There’s nothing more to look forward to than Monday and getting back to work on the training ground. They’re a good group and an honest bunch."

Moore started Saturday's game against Hull with a back three but then switched to a back four at half-time, something he's done several times in recent weeks.

But he has no plans to revert to a back four for good, because he wants his team to be capable of playing both systems.

"I switched to a back four to try and get some momentum in the game and claw it back," he said.

"Will it give me food for thought? I could play a four or a three. We’ve worked on both formations and shapes.

"The players can adapt to it so we’ll wait and see."

When he was asked if he should know his best formation after 16 games into the season, he said: "Teams have changed their formation against us. Do I stick with one out and out formation? No.

"The key is to have two or three different formations you can flit between because you’re always trying to win a match.

"One formation might not suit you for the next game so you’ve got to be adaptable.

"In terms of sticking to the one formation that won’t be the case going forward."
