The Baggies have a host a promising internationals on their books with Sam Field, Kyle Edwards, Rekeem Harper – and loanee Harvey Barnes – having recently been called up by England at youth level.

Barnes was named in the England under-21 squad, while Field and Edwards have featured for Paul Simpson’s under-20s.

Harper, meanwhile, has been part of England’s under-19s set-up.

And with Edwards having featured in the Championship against Reading and Wigan recently, Moore says his youngsters will get a chance in the first-team if they keep doing the right things.

“I spoke to them all after the international break,” Moore said.

“Rekeem Harper, Sam Field, Kyle Edwards, Harvey as well. I’ve congratulated them all on their performances because they performed very well on international duty.

“I said to all the players in preseason. If you’re a young player or an experienced player everybody’s got the opportunity to play in this team.

“It’s a level playing field for everybody.

“We want a team that’s working in the right way, trying to improve in the right way.

“As the games go by, youngsters like Kyle have forced their way into reckoning.

“But it’s not just him, others are on the fringes.

“They’ve all got to keep working and when the opportunity presents itself, they have to take it.”
