Nacer Chadli picked up an injury today.

Albion's record signing limped off in the 39th minute of Belgium's 2-0 win over England while his team-mates were beating Swindon 3-1 in a pre-season friendly.

And he's confirmed the extent of the damage won't be known until next week.

"I'll undergo a [medical] examination on Monday," said Chadli, after the game. "I felt pain when I picked up the injury, but I can walk now.

"I'm proud and happy that we finished third... I believe that the team will achieve success (in the future).

"It has been a tough season, so, I understood why the coach left me on the bench, but I worked well, so I was given a chance to play."

Injury could impact Chadli's future at the club and Albion's summer in the transfer market.

The 28-year-old has a £17m release clause that expires in a few weeks' time, and French club Lyon are reportedly interested in the Belgian.

But a lengthy lay-off will likely put potential suitors off, and could scupper a move.

Chadli spent the majority of last season injured, and only started two games in the Premier League for the Baggies.

He returned to action towards the end of the season before working his way into Roberto Martinez's starting XI during the World Cup and helping Belgium to third.

Before he limped off in today's match with England, Chadli laid on an assist for Thomas Meunier.
