Boss Darren Moore’s first match in permanent charge of the Baggies is against the Trotters at The Hawthorns on Saturday, August 4.

A midweek trip to Nottingham Forest (live on Sky Sports) then follows on Tuesday, August 7, before the Baggies finish the first week of the season away at Norwich on Saturday, August 11.

The opening month of the campaign is rounded off with a home clash with QPR on Saturday, August 18, while Albion then head north to face Middlesbrough and former boss Tony Pulis on Saturday, August 25.

An early season showdown with fellow promotion hopefuls Stoke follows at The Hawthorns on Saturday, September 1.

Moore’s men have their first West Midlands derby of the campaign on Saturday September 15 when Blues visit The Hawthorns. The return fixture, at St Andrew’s, is scheduled for March 30.

Villa visit The Hawthorns on Saturday, December 8, with the return clash at Villa Park on February 16.

A busy festive period, meanwhile, sees the Baggies play four fixtures in the space of 11 days, three of them against teams promoted to the Championship last term.

It begins with a trip to League One play-off winners Rotherham on December 22, before back-to-back home games with Wigan and Sheffield Wednesday on Boxing Day and December 29 respectively. Albion then head to Blackburn on New Year’s Day.

The Baggies host Rotherham in their final home league fixture of the campaign on April 27.

They complete the campaign with a trip to Derby, a week later, on May 5.

All fixtures are subject to change due to TV scheduling.
