Although the caretaker boss has refused to throw his hat into the ring for the vacant Baggies position, Moore does hold a long-term desire to move into management.

He has completed his coaching badges and has previously been approached by Oxford United, MK Dons, and Barnsley – but has stayed at the Baggies, where he’s been coaching for the past 14 years.

Cutler has witnessed Moore’s encouraging start to life in the hot-seat first hand and he is convinced the former centre-back has a bright future in management.

“I think he has yes,” said Cutler. “I’m not saying he’s thinking about being the manager here but he would be a fantastic manager without a doubt.

“He’s going to have a really good career in football because of the way he conducts himself, because of his winning mentality, because tactically, technically and psychologically he’s up there.

“He’s really switched on and his work ethic is fantastic. He does it the right way, he speaks to people the right way, he conducts himself the right way and he’s a genuinely good guy.

“People want to work for good guys who do things the right way. But he’s no mug, if he has to crack the whip he does, that’s a part of it.

“He’s driven, and you can see every game, we’re determined to win. His personality has a lot to do with that.”

The Albion hierarchy are keen to keep Moore as a coach next season following the summer rebuild, but there have been growing calls for him to be considered for the top job following a three-match unbeaten start.

The 44-year-old has consistently played a straight bat to any questions about his desires for the job, and Cutler insisted it hadn’t been mentioned.

“In terms of Mooro and the job, we’re really honestly not thinking about that,” he said. “

“If you outwork your worth you’re not far off. Day in day out if you work hard, get your head down and plan, eventually you’ll find your way and move forward.

“He’s not considering the manager’s job because we’ve just got too much to concentrate on right now.

“There’s a danger of getting ahead of yourself, we’ve got to just win games and do the best we can. Create an environment and winning mentality and closeness in the group.

“It’s all about creating momentum going into next year. Create that momentum going into next season with the fans, the club. That’s starting to happen.”
