Martin Jol is a man who's become one of the front-runners for the Albion job.

The Dutchman, who has also managed at both Spurs and Fulham, was backed from 33/1 into 8/1 yesterday. Steve Freeth of bet365 said: “The flurry of wagers has certainly livened up a market that has been on the quiet side until the Jol money arrived.”

Jol played 63 games for the Baggies between 1982 and 1984 after signing from FC Twente in Holland.

He has been out of management since 2016 after managing Egyptian side Al Alhy. Former Saddlers boss Dean Smith remains 3/1 favourite for the job.
