According to the Daily Telegraph, the 24-year-old, who hasn’t scored a senior goal in more than two years, turned up late for an under-23s match with Aston Villa on Easter Monday.

He played in the game, which Stoke lost 3-1, but first team head coach Paul Lambert was not happy with his time-keeping, a problem which also reared it’s head at the Baggies.

The Potters signed Berahino in January 2017 for £12m, rising to a possible £15m. He was handed a five-and-a-half year contract but is yet to score a senior goal for them.
